VR Transpoint’s operating system and responsibility

VR Transpoint implements the strategic objectives defined in the VR Group's operating system, taking into account the special characteristics of rail and road transport.

Our operations combine certified systems

The operating system guides our employees and partners to ensure sustainable development and continuity. Based on the active training of our own personnel and contract operators, regular audits and customer satisfaction surveys, we continuously develop our operations in a more service-oriented direction.

In addition, the operations take into account the special characteristics and opportunities of the VR Group and promote the achievement of common goals and other strategic objectives.

Our employees have been trained and inducted into the AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) requirements. An authorised economic operator is a company that has received a customs security certificate for its customs clearance and logistics operations. AEO is a global project aiming to promote the security of international supply chains.

Rail logistics

The operation and responsibility of rail logistics is based on a certified operating system:

Important issues for our transport services in the operating environment of rail transport include:

  • customer and partner cooperation
  • transport service development
  • personnel training, development of well-being and professional qualifications
  • monitoring and management of environmental emissions
  • assurance and development of overall safety and security
  • compliance with laws and regulations.

Road logistics

In road logistics, responsibility is supported by three certified systems of the operating system:

Matters that are important in the operating environment of road logistics and from the customer’s point of view include

  • monitoring and management of environmental emissions
  • observation and development of overall safety and security
  • operator cooperation, training and audits
  • development of well-being and professional qualifications
  • compliance with laws and regulations; the Act on the Contractor’s Obligations and Liability when Work is Contracted Out is taken into consideration in particular.
